This qualifies as news
I've not said anything about this for fear of "queering the deal," but it's now official. The first Basic Instructions book is on the way.
The really exciting part is that it's being published by Dark Horse Comics, which is so awesome that I still can't wrap my brain around it. Seriously, I can't think of another company I'd rather be in business with.
There's no publishing date set, and there are many details to work out, but the contract is signed, and I intend to hold them to it!!
I'll keep you posted.

It also makes you very protective of your product. Especially when some piece of excrement, buys, scans and uploads your hard work as a PDF file on a Torrents site.
Talk about stealing the food out of your childrens mouths.

Next you get to sell the rights to your pride and joy to some Hollywood crook who will make a ill conceived musical based on your work. It will star someone totally inappropriate(watch out for Steve Coogan), fail at the box office and be a proverbial Albatross around your neck for years to come.

I trust it will be your trade-mark 4-panel genius rather than the Adams' inspired efforts. No offence intended to yourself but your respective styles just don't mingle well. Keep Adams' square peg away from your round hole.
