Personally, if I were the evil villain there, I wouldn’t threaten Rocket Hat with death, I’d just ask him if his nose was itchy.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:50 pm
Will Rocket Hat ever speak? The tension is unbearable.
October 28th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
But how could Rocket Hat escape without his chin strap?
October 28th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Yay! I love Rocket Hat vs. the Moon Men!
October 28th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
I swear, rocket hat would be a great saturday morning cartoon.
October 29th, 2009 at 1:09 am
It would be very interesting as a cartoon considering that he never talks! Kids would be bored and adults would be laughing their asses off.

His hat so pointy! Moon grammar no verbs!
October 29th, 2009 at 4:01 am
I would see a live action version of this … the cheesier the special effects, the better … it would be a great YouTube series … the advertising alone would buy you … more stuff … and food … and some other stuff … yeah … flu makes you woozy …

I love this one.
But shouldn’t it be “His head IS so pointy”?

Moon Concrete!!!
October 29th, 2009 at 8:08 am
What I love is that Rocket Hat Man is still encased in the block of moon-crete, propelling himself… where? How shall our hero ever escape the confines of… MOON-CRETE?!
October 29th, 2009 at 8:15 am
*moon-concrete* sorry.
ESN – I read the 4th panel line more like, “His hat! So pointy!”
October 29th, 2009 at 11:11 am
Once again the grammar nazis are barking up the wrong tree. The real mystery is, as Repton pointed out, where is the chinstrap on Rocket Hat? Maybe he developed a new rocket hat that stays attached to one’s head whitout a chinstrap. And how could he fly with so much weight of that block attached? Oh, moon-crete is probably much lighter, like balsa wood. It it doesn’t matter, The details are unimportant !!

I love Rocket Hat vs the Moon Men too!
October 29th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
Yeah, those are the best kind of head butts. I like how Rocket Hat has no dialogue, and it’s just a conversation between The Moon Emperor and Moon Technician Jansen.
October 29th, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Clearly, Rocket Hat is planning something . . . and will be back for REVENGE! He’s off to plan it now . . .
October 29th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
I also love how we never actually see rocket hat rocketing anywhere, just him trapped by the moon men. That’s one thing that would be lost in an animated series; the utter lack of action is what makes it so hilarious.
October 29th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
What would make the comic even better for me, and I offer this freely without warranty or intellectual property claim of any sort, would be a little sticking plaster over the bruise on the forehead of the technician/henchman in the last panel.
Come to think of it, the absence of any head-wound is suspicious. Do the moon-men let him go without even trying when the Moon Emperor isn’t looking?
October 29th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
One of the things I love about this whole Moon Men series is the fact that the moon men still haven’t figure out to take Rocket Hat’s rocket hat away from him!
Oh, and I thought I’d throw this out there:
Rocket Hat! Fighting off wicked Moon Men alone!
October 29th, 2009 at 7:47 pm
it says his hat’s so pointy. note the apostrophe s, making it a contraction of hat is
October 29th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
@ Isaac: I’m guessing Scott fixed it after other people pointed out the error.
October 30th, 2009 at 1:16 am
Not only does Rocket hat never talk, but he’s got only one pose. Standing there with his hands bound in front of him looking to the left side of the panel.
October 30th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Thank you Issac, obviously the people here can’t see the apostrophe and then “s”. It’s shamful to correct grammar in the first place, but when your correcting the wrong grammat that’s just sad.
(See I said that’s, meaning that is)

i love the pose the Moon Emperor makes in panel 2. gotta dig those crazy nails + rings. incidentally, the villain in my PnP RPG is a demonic-pact-dabbling wizard, and when my players ask what he looks like i refer them to your moon men comics XD

Funny stuff. No idea if/where I should post this, but a button or link that displays a random comic might be cool. It would give a chance to see comics we haven’t seen in a while without having to remember which ones those are.
Love the comic
