As soon as I see “old Ric” in his magnificent robe I start laughing. And in the case of this strip, I didn’t stop laughing until…well, I’m still laughing. Classic, man.
I think there needs to be a proper “How to” for evil villains.
How to deal with pesky heros –
Step 1) Don’t skimp on the restraints. Yes, you may come off as a kinky bondage queen but it’s better that than having the hero escape and ruin your plans.
Step 2) Don’t gloat more than is really neccessary, and DON’T tell him your plans – that’s just asking for trouble.
Step 3) Execute him yourself, no leaving incompetant lackeys to do the job. Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate, the cold hard efficiency of a bullet to the head is the only way to go.
Step 4) Send the body back to hisparent agency in pieces – sounds yucky but really gets the message across. Puts other would be heros off as well.
hmmm, maybe a bit too dark for BI come to think of it…
So is the Emperor’s elaborate overcoat like a kilt? Such that he would not be wearing underwear. Just wondering that after I saw his knobbly knees in the first panel.
If you fired the rockets, wouldn’t your ears get burned? And if you had the chinstrap, seems like you’d risk hanging yourself. Guess that’s why they call them super heroes.

Joshua, the jokes about super-villains are much older than that even. I take the old vaudeville attitude anyway “:It’s not the joke, its how you tell it”, I think Mr Meyer might as well (hello! I think your comic is very funny and may soon invest in the darkhorse publication) and suggest you do the same to aid your future appreciation of most webcomics and stand-up comedians.

I have never ever seen an Austin Powers movie, so the subtlety of your put down is lost on me. OTOH, the hilarity of the strip magnifies incredibly a hundredfold as your presence ignited a Doofus-Doosh-Bagge Hilarity Event Field. Ain’t that sumptin’?
Doofus-Doosh-Bagge Hilarity Event Field alert!Probably thinks Rocky and Bullwinkle can’t be funny because a moose and squirrel wouldn’t live together or in a house or be able to communicate amongst themselves or humans because they are lower mammals.
It is left to the viewer to imagine what vile and excruciating punishment the evil villain has in store for the lackey for bollocksing up task and allowing the hero to escape;

Are you on vacation, Scott? I believe “old Rick” is used because this is an “old strip.” That, or I can foresee the future, albeit my foresight is limited to internet comic strips.

Is it in the future or from our past? Does it ever end? Who is the ultimate victor? This story could grow into a book deal, and then maybe a full- length feature movie, heck maybe a trilogy! It Could even top the Star Wars saga! well, maybe not…..
